My Tattoo - Wendy Thomas Story

“Yea though I walk through the shadow of the valley of death, I will fear no evil”.
Story told by - Kustom Kulture Tattoo Studio in Weston-super-Mare
Heres a tattoo story - sad but inspirational at the same time.
A few weeks ago a customer of mine was walking along the high street at 10pm, popping down to my shop to check out the opening hours ready to get his new tattoo - the words of the 23rd Psalm. While stood outside, 3 lads jumped him, dragged him down a nearby alley and proceeded to slice his face with a scapel, giving him more than two dozen slashes, and finally stabbing him with it. They took their time. Luckily Jim was wearing a metal security badge/pass which probably saved his life.
When he got home, covered in blood, he terrified the wife and kids by his appearance. When he reported it to the police, they asked him “what do you want us to do?”. The police did not even come to my shop and ask for my cctv footage. He told them not to bother and instead wrong a long and very articulate letter, via the local paper, aimed at the scum that did it.
Well Jim did not let the bastards get to him and he came into get his tattoo anyway - the words, in case you didn’t know: “Yea though I walk through the shadow of the valley of death, I will fear no evil”.
Jim - good for you. You are a hero. An inspiration. Stay strong.
