These are my two tattoos, one for my son Sean and one of my ex (girlfriend at the time) I had my first tattoo done, the flower, when I was 17, young and stupid! I thought at the time it was a good idea, the effect your first love has on you eh? Now I regret it all the time, especially as my current girlfriends name has no resemblance to Zoë!! As I’m older and wiser, I can give the advice that if anyone ever thinks of getting a tattoo of their partners name unless they have been together for a substantial amount of time, go get yourself a shotgun and save the tattooists time.

As for the other one that is for my son so it still has the same meaning as when I had it done 9yrs on although it seems a much better idea to have a cartoon character on your forearm when your 17 than it would now im 26. I found that having them in such prominent places caused a couple of problems such as people always asking me “how is zoe” as if they know her or being able to try and wind me up about it especially when i worked on doors as they are quite personal but lets not get all doom and gloom as when I had them done i felt great and it didn’t hurt half as much as I thought it would.
